General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Ilfov*

The professional maternal assistant is the natural person, certified under the conditions of Government Decision no. 679/2003, who ensures through the activity carried out at their home the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children they receive in placement.

The person who requests to become a professional maternal assistant will submit an application for capacity evaluation to DGASPC Ilfov. The application must obligatorily mention the number of children for whom the applicant believes they can simultaneously provide optimal care conditions, the age group and gender of these children, the availability to care for children with disabilities/handicap, infected with HIV or suffering from AIDS.
