Eligible persons (who, for 12 months out of the 2 years prior to the child's birth, earned income from salaries, income from independent activities, income from agricultural activities, or were in one or more of the situations called assimilated periods) who, during the period they are entitled to benefit from childcare leave, obtain taxable income, are entitled to an insertion incentive in the amount of 50% of the minimum monthly childcare allowance.

For persons who obtain taxable income at least 60 days before the child reaches the age of 2 years, respectively 3 years in the case of a child with a disability, the granting of the insertion incentive is done until the child reaches the age of 3 years, respectively 4 years in the case of a child with a disability.

Either biological parent of the child, as well as the person who has adopted a child, may benefit from this entitlement provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Social assistance is granted monthly, to supplement the net monthly incomes of the family or single person.

Children of foreign citizens and stateless persons who are residents, under the law, in Romania, also benefit from the state allowance for children, if they live together with their parents.

This right can be requested by either of the child's natural parents, as well as by the person who has adopted a child, provided that the criteria are met.

The allowance for raising children up to 2 years old, or up to 3 years old in the case of a child with disabilities, is a form of support to which are entitled persons who, in the last 24 months prior to the child's birth, have for 12 months earned income from salaries, independent activities, income from agricultural activities subject to income tax according to the provisions of Law no. 227/2015 regarding the Fiscal Code, with subsequent amendments and completions, or have been in one or more of the situations called assimilated periods. Either of the child's biological parents, as well as the person who has adopted a child, can benefit from this right, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Social vouchers for kindergarten are granted to children from disadvantaged families who participate in activities organized within preschool education units and for whom there is both a risk of dropping out and not attending preschool courses, due to limited access to economic resources and education. The minimum nominal monthly value of the educational incentive, granted in the form of social vouchers for kindergarten, is 50 lei/month.

The social voucher for kindergarten is granted to children from disadvantaged families, provided that the following criteria are cumulatively met:

- the child is enrolled in a preschool education unit and the monthly income per family member is up to twice the level of the guaranteed minimum income for a single person, as stipulated by Law no. 416/2001 regarding the guaranteed minimum income, with subsequent amendments and completions.

It is granted to families with incomes below the limit of 530 lei/family member, provided that school-age minors attend school courses.

Granting aid to cover part of the expenses related to heating the home during the cold season.

It is granted to persons with incomes up to 750 lei per family member.
