General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Sector 3*

The procedure establishes the steps to be followed for the identification, recruitment, evaluation, and certification of maternal assistants, in accordance with the legislation in force, within the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection sector 3. The maternal assistant is the individual, certified under the provisions of Ordinance no. 27/2024, who, through the activity carried out at their home, ensures the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children received in placement. The person who wishes to become a maternal assistant shall submit an application for capacity evaluation to DGASPC sector 3. The application must obligatorily mention the number of children for whom the applicant considers they can simultaneously provide optimal care conditions, their age group, children with disabilities, the ability to take children in emergency situations or during the respite period of another maternal assistant.
