Covasna College of Pharmacists*

In order to proceed with issuing a duplicate of the Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation to the headquarters of the Covasna College of Pharmacists, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no.4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the fee is 150 lei

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before the transfer note is issued, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the contribution owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacist record register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If, at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, a complaint has been made against them or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint and the disciplinary file will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Suspension of membership occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, specifically the Covasna College of Pharmacists, a request asking for the suspension of membership. At the moment when requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have their membership fee paid up to the end of the year and fulfill the continuous professional training requirement with 40 EFC hours for the respective period.

The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days from the resumption of activity.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon express request, meet the following conditions: they possess an official qualification in pharmacy, are not found in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice as a pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the account of the territorial college RO30RNCB0124108122120001 in the amount of 405 lei, equal to 10% of the gross minimum wage)

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of new pharmaceutical units being established, as well as changes of chief pharmacists - for those taking over the chief position), shall address the county colleges for obtaining the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

We present below the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;

- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard request to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, the C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with the identification details of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them to the applicants with signed confirmation of receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 RON, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO30RNCB0124108122120001.

Resumption of membership is done based on a request, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Covasna College of Pharmacists, through which they request the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.
