Granting the child-raising allowance*
The allowance for raising a child up to 2 years, or up to 3 years in the case of a child with a disability, is a form of support to which are entitled those persons who, in the last 24 months prior to the date of the child's birth, have earned income for at least 12 months from salaries, income from independent activities, income from agricultural activities subject to income tax according to Law no. 571/2003 regarding the Fiscal Code, with its subsequent amendments and completions - income subject to tax, or have found themselves in one or more situations, called assimilated periods. Either of the child's natural parents, as well as the person who has adopted a child, may benefit from this right, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Granting of allowance for family support*
The family support allowance is a form of support for low-income families who are raising and caring for children up to 18 years old and is granted by the decision of the mayor of Ticvaniu Mare commune.
The granting of the family support allowance aims at supplementing the income of families in order to provide better conditions for the upbringing and education of children, as well as encouraging school-aged children from low-income families to attend a form of education organized according to the law, in accordance with art.1, para.2 of Law no. 277/2010 regarding the family support allowance, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions;

State allowance for children*
The state allowance for children is granted to all children up to the age of 18, without discrimination. The state allowance for children is also granted to young people who have reached the age of 18, who are attending high school or vocational education courses, organized according to the law, until their completion, except for those who repeat the school year, with the exception of those repeating for health reasons, proven with a medical certificate.
The state allowance for children is also granted to children of foreign citizens and stateless persons who are residents, under the law, in Romania, if they live together with their parents. This right can be requested by any of the child's natural parents, as well as by a person who has adopted a child, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
