General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Sector 6*

The professional maternal assistant is the natural person, certified under the conditions of Government Decision no. 679/2003, who, through their activity carried out at their home, ensures the growth, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children they receive in placement.

The person who wishes to become a professional maternal assistant must submit a request for capacity evaluation to DGASPC Sector 6. The request must obligatorily mention the number of children for whom the applicant believes they can simultaneously provide optimal care conditions, the age group and gender of these children, the availability to care for children with disabilities, HIV-infected or AIDS patients.
