Duplicate Pharmacist Certificate Request Procedure*
In order to proceed with issuing a duplicate of the Certificate of Membership of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no.4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents presented below.
*Pharmacist Transfer Request Procedure*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the membership fee owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacists’ register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has been transferred will be mentioned. If at the level of the college from which the pharmacist is being transferred a complaint has been registered against them or disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be sent to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.
*Procedure for suspending membership in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The suspension of membership occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, an application requesting the suspension of membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and meet the requirement of continuous professional development through a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
The pharmacist is obliged to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.
Procedure for obtaining the Current Professional Certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
According to the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges in order to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, a decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard request for the preparation and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania which will prepare and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will keep a Register of evidence—with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from the respective county—and will deliver them to the applicants with acknowledgment of receipt.
The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO46BTRLRONCRT0PC6567601 (RON) BANCA TRANSILVANIA ORADEA.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file that will include the documents attached below.
*Procedure Request Certificate of Membership in the College of Pharmacists*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not in any cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained the bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid to the territorial college account IBAN CODE: RO46BTRLRONCRT0PC6567601 (RON) BANCA TRANSILVANIA 208 lei for those who register within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for other persons).
*Procedure for resuming membership in the Romanian College of Pharmacists*
The reinstatement of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, through which they request the reinstatement of membership starting from a certain date.
