This procedure regulates the automatic recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad.

The procedure regarding the automatic recognition by the “George Enescu” National University of Arts from Iași (hereinafter UNAGE) of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad is drawn up based on ORDER no. 5.921/06.12.2016 of the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research for the approval of the Methodology regarding the automatic recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, published in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE no. 1,007 of December 15, 2016.

UNAGE, as an accredited higher education institution and doctoral studies organizer institution in Romania, automatically recognizes the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained in accredited higher education institutions that are members of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and prestigious universities from other states provided in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research and periodically updated.

The status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained at other accredited higher education institutions abroad than those mentioned in para. (1) is recognized only on the basis of an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third states.

Based on its own procedure, UNAGE establishes the criteria for recognizing the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation and issues a decision regarding the recognition request.

The exercise of the rights conferred by the status of doctoral supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position at UNAGE Iași is carried out according to the legal regulations in force.

UNAGE Iași consults, if necessary, the National Centre for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (hereinafter CNRED) and the National Council for Attestation of University Titles, Diplomas, and Certificates.

This procedure regulates the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad.

The procedure regarding the recognition by the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași (hereinafter UNAGE) of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad, is developed based on ORDER no. 5.923/06.12.2016 of the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research approving the Methodology regarding the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in science or in a professional field, obtained abroad, published in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE no. 1.014 of December 16, 2016.

The “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, as an accredited higher education institution, recognizes the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in science or in a professional field, obtained at:

- accredited higher education or research-development institutions in a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;

- accredited higher education or research-development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by order of the minister of national education and scientific research, updated periodically;

- accredited higher education or research-development institutions that are subject to an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

UNAGE, as an accredited higher education institution, collaborates permanently with C.N.R.E.D. regarding the recognition of the diplomas mentioned in paragraph (1) and submits a centralized report of recognition requests to C.N.R.E.D. every semester.

Recognition by UNAGE is carried out based on its own procedure approved at the institutional level, for the purpose of enrolling in postgraduate programs, obtaining habilitation, holding a teaching or research position within one of the institutions or units mentioned above.

The purpose of the procedure is to establish the manner in which the recognition is carried out within the George Enescu National University of Arts (UNAGE) of academic teaching positions obtained at accredited higher education institutions abroad, for the purpose of occupying, for a fixed period, vacant teaching positions as associate teaching staff, participating in examination boards for filling vacant teaching/research positions, as well as for participating in boards designated for advancement exams.
This procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries.
UNAGE is an accredited higher education institution according to legal regulations and, as such, recognizes teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and prestigious universities from other countries included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by the Order of the Minister of Education, Research, Youth, and Sport no. 3158/2012.
Teaching positions obtained at other accredited higher education institutions than those mentioned in art.4 are recognized only on the basis of an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.
