Procedure for organizing visit-lessons for groups of schoolchildren or students*

The visit-lessons for groups of schoolchildren or students are organized on the occasion of significant historical events from the glorious past of the Romanian Army. These contribute to the increased public presence of the Romanian National Military Archives, presenting the main duties of the institution and the opportunities for studying the military archival heritage.
Interested educational institutions will submit, by email or post, a request addressed to the management of the institution at least 30 days in advance. After its approval, the steps for carrying out the activity are established by mutual agreement.

Procedure for carrying out internships in the field of military archival science*

Romanian National Military Archives are the authority in the field of archival science and military history that scientifically valorizes the documentary heritage held by the Ministry of National Defense.
Internships in the field of military archival science can only be carried out with the prior signing of a Framework Agreement regarding the conduct of the internship, in accordance with the provisions of the Order of the Minister of Education, Research and Youth No. 3955 of 09.05.2008, between higher education institutions and the Romanian National Military Archives. Based on this, students can submit a request to carry out specialized practice at the Romanian National Military Archives. After the practice request is approved by the unit management, the period and conditions for its conduct are established.

Procedure for facilitating access to archive documents containing information regarding the fulfillment of military obligations and obtaining documents attesting the claimed status for the period of interest*

In order to facilitate access to archival documents containing information regarding the fulfillment of military obligations and the issuance of certificates attesting the military status, applicants must submit a request, by mail or e-mail, for the issuance of the document. If upon research, it is found that the requested document exists, the amount of 90 lei/document must be paid at the Treasury, into the account of the issuing institution.

Procedure regarding the use of the photographic archive’s image fund*

The Romanian National Military Archives are the authority in the field of archival science and military history that scientifically valorizes the documentary heritage held by the Ministry of National Defense.
For the study of the archival heritage regarding the history of the Romanian Army, interested researchers can access the documents in storage at the headquarters in Bucharest, Drumul Taberei Street, no. 7H, Sector 6, and at the headquarters in Pitești, Aleea Poarta Eroilor no. 4, Pitești, Argeș County, through the study rooms. Interested persons will submit, by email or by post, a request for approval of the study, on a research topic. After the management of the unit approves the study request, the applicant can present himself/herself at the study room, based on prior scheduling.
The first stage consists in making available to the researcher the inventory tools (archival inventories) according to the topic communicated in the study request. After selecting the documents of interest to the researcher, these will be analyzed in accordance with the provisions of the National Archives Law no. 16/1996, republished 2014 and the current legislation regarding the protection of classified information.
At the end of the evaluation procedure, the researcher will be informed of the date to present at the study room for the provision of the requested materials.
Researchers may request, for a fee, copies of the studied documents, according to the List of services provided by the Romanian National Military Archives for individuals and legal entities and the related tariffs, posted at: https://amnr.defense.ro/pages/servicii.

Procedure for studying the archival heritage regarding the history of the Romanian Army*

The Romanian National Military Archives are the authority in the field of archival science and military history that scientifically capitalize the documentary heritage held by the Ministry of National Defense.
For the study of archival heritage regarding the history of the Romanian Army, interested researchers can access the documents kept, on microfilm, at the headquarters in Bucharest, Drumul Taberei street, no. 7H, sector 6, and in hard copy format, at the headquarters in Pitești, Aleea Poarta Eroilor no. 4, Pitești, Argeș county, through the reading rooms.
Interested persons will submit, by email or by mail, a request for the approval of the study, on a research topic. After the approval of the study request by the management of the unit, the applicant can present himself/herself to the reading room, based on a prior reservation.
The first stage consists of making available to the researcher the inventory tools (archival inventories) depending on the topic communicated in the study request. After selecting the documents of interest for the researcher (microfilm rolls/files), these will be analyzed in accordance with the provisions of the National Archives Law no. 16/1996, republished 2014, and with the provisions of the legislation in force regarding the protection of classified information.

The Romanian National Military Archives are the authority in the field of archival studies and military history that scientifically capitalize on the documentary heritage held by the Ministry of National Defense.
For consulting the collection of old books and representative works in the field of military historiography, interested researchers can access the documents held at the headquarters in Bucharest, Drumul Taberei Street, no. 7H, sector 6, through the study room.
Interested persons will submit, by email or by post, a request for approval of the study, on a research topic. After the unit management approves the study request, the applicant may attend the study room, based on a prior scheduling.
