Operational procedure regarding the recognition at the "Eftimie Murgu" University of Reșița of academic teaching positions obtained in accredited foreign higher education institutions*

Within UEMR, teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, from the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the "List of prestigious universities from other countries," approved by MENCS Order no. 5.462/2018 and updated periodically, are recognized.

The provisions of this procedure apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries.

Teaching positions obtained at other accredited higher education institutions than those mentioned above are recognized only based on an international mutual recognition agreement concluded at the intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

For the recognition of teaching positions obtained abroad, UEMR may collaborate with the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) and the National Council for the Certification of Titles, Diplomas, and University Certificates (CNATDCU).

Appeal routes

The appeal against the rector's decision must be registered within 48 hours from its issuance at the Rectorate of UEMR or through the single electronic contact point. The decision of the appeal resolution committee is issued within 72 hours from the registration date. Subsequently, the university's final decision can be challenged in court.
