The procedure presents the steps to be followed and the documents to be submitted for registration for the professional certification exam of the mountain rescuer. The profession of mountain rescuer can only be practiced by certified individuals who meet all the conditions stipulated in Government Decision no. 77/2003 regarding the establishment of measures for the prevention of mountain accidents and the organization of mountain rescue activities.

Information regarding the registration and the stages of professional training for individuals, Romanian citizens, and citizens of a Member State of the European Union or belonging to the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation, are presented and can be viewed here​

For registration to the professional certification exam of the mountain rescuer, the applicant submits the necessary documents online or by post in copy, and will present them in original before taking the certification exam. The final documents will be sent in original, by post, to the applicant or, as the case may be, to the Salvamont service to which they belong.
