The application for divorce through the administrative procedure must be made in writing, submitted, and personally signed by both spouses in front of the civil status officer delegated from the town hall that keeps the marriage certificate or from the area of the last common residence. The administrative divorce fee is 709 lei. The fee is not refunded if the file is closed.*
