This methodology establishes the manner in which the recognition is carried out, within the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad. The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries, who have obtained the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the “List of prestigious universities from other countries,” approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically.

Appeal routes

The decision of recognition or non-recognition may be appealed within 48 hours from the announcement of the solution or the certificate of recognition. The appeal will be analyzed by an Appeals Committee appointed by the Rector of UAD from Cluj-Napoca. The Appeals Committee will issue a response within 10 days from receiving the appeal. If the applicant is not satisfied with the solution of the Appeals Committee, they may address the competent court, the Cluj Tribunal, Mixed Administrative and Fiscal Litigation Section, within the legal term of 30 days.
