The citizen of another Member State of the European Union or of the European Economic Area and the Romanian citizen, who acquired the quality of forensic expert in another Member State of the European Union or of the European Economic Area, by certification of the professional institutions recognised in those States and who want to practice their profession in Romania.

The applicant shall submit the criminal record certificate, within its validity period. Romanian citizens shall submit the original criminal record certificate. Citizens of a member state of the European Union, other than Romania, shall submit the criminal record certificate accompanied by the multilingual standard form – a translation aid instrument [Annex no. XI to Regulation (EU) 2016/1191]. Citizens of the member states of the European Economic Area or of the Swiss Confederation shall submit the criminal record certificate that has been apostilled or legalized, as applicable, accompanied by its certified translation.*

The document attesting the acquisition of the professional qualification of forensic expert in the country of origin shall be submitted in a notarized copy or a copy certified as being in conformity with the original and signed by the designated person within the Ministry of Justice. If the document is issued in a language other than Romanian, a notarized translation into Romanian of the respective document shall also be submitted.*
