This procedure describes how individuals, citizens of another member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area, can request certification based on an exam for practicing in Romania the activity of energy auditor for buildings AE. The energy auditor for buildings carries out their activity as an independent expert, authorized individual, or as an employee of a legal entity, according to the legislation in force and has the obligation to comply with the code of conduct for energy auditors for buildings. The status of energy auditor for buildings is proven by the certificate of attestation issued by the competent authority. The right to practice is proven with the valid ID card, issued by the competent authority together with the certificate of attestation.

Regulated profession: The profession of certified energy auditor for buildings is found at position 12 in Annex no. 2 to Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.
