Procedure regarding the recognition by USAMV Cluj-Napoca of the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained abroad*

Through this procedure, the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained at an accredited higher education institution abroad, listed in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, or in accredited higher education institutions that are subject to an international mutual recognition agreement concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level, is automatically recognized within USAMV Cluj-Napoca. It applies to citizens of a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation. Only in cases of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200 of 2004 and art. 296 of Law no. 1 of 2011 apply. The exercise of the rights conferred by the quality of doctoral supervisor or habilitation shall be carried out according to the legal regulations in force.

Appeal routes

The decision to recognize or not recognize the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation may be appealed within 3 days from notification, through a motivated application submitted to the University Registry. Appeals are resolved within 5 days by the Appeals Resolution Committee consisting of 5 members appointed by decision of the Rector. The response to the appeal is communicated directly to the applicant. The final decision may subsequently be challenged in court.
