This procedure establishes the manner in which the automatic recognition is carried out by UMF ”Iuliu Hațieganu” Cluj-Napoca of the teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, as provided in the annex to OM 5922/15.12.2016.

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of European Union member states, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries who have obtained teaching positions in accredited higher education institutions in European Union member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the “List of prestigious universities from other states,” approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically.

The teaching profession is found at position no. A.8 in Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*

Appeal routes

The decision of recognition or non-recognition may be contested within 3 (three) days from notification, through a motivated request submitted to the University Registry. Appeals are resolved within 5 days from registration by the Appeals Resolution Commission appointed by the Rector's decision. Afterwards, the final decision of the university may be challenged in the courts of law.
