Extending the validity of the energy auditor's practice right to buildings

This procedure describes the way in which specialists – individuals, certified as energy auditors for buildings, can extend the validity of their practice right. The energy auditor for buildings carries out their activity as an independent expert, an authorized individual, or as an employee of a legal entity, according to the legislation in force, and has the obligation to comply with the provisions of the code of conduct for energy auditors for buildings. The status of energy auditor for buildings is proven by the certificate of certification issued by the competent authority. The practice right is proven by the valid badge issued by the competent authority together with the certificate of certification.

​Regulated profession: The profession of certified energy auditor for buildings is listed at position 12 in Annex no. 2 to Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.

Decisions regarding the profession of energy auditor for buildings may be challenged before the Romanian administrative litigation courts, with due regard to the material and territorial competence, as well as the deadlines established by art. 7 and art. 10 of the Administrative Litigation Law no. 554/2004, with subsequent amendments and completions.
