Certification of energy auditors for buildings - Romanian citizens*

This procedure describes the way in which individuals, Romanian citizens, can request certification based on an exam for carrying out energy auditing activities for buildings in Romania. The energy auditor for buildings carries out the activity as an authorized individual or as an employee of a legal entity, according to the legislation in force and is obliged to comply with the provisions of the code of conduct for energy auditors for buildings. The status of energy auditor for buildings is proven by the certificate of certification issued by the competent authority. The right to practice is proven by the valid identification card issued by the competent authority together with the certificate of certification.

Decisions regarding the profession of energy auditor for buildings can be challenged before the Romanian administrative courts, with respect to material and territorial competence, as well as the terms established by art. 7 and art. 10 of the Administrative Litigation Law no. 554/2004, with subsequent amendments and completions.
