This procedure regulates the automatic recognition at the “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iaşi of the status of PhD supervisor or habilitation obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, in accordance with the National Education Law no. 1/2011, with subsequent additions and amendments; the Code of doctoral university studies, approved by Government Decision no. 681/2011, with subsequent additions and amendments; Order MENCS no. 5921/2016 approving the Methodology regarding the automatic recognition by higher education institutions or doctoral studies organizing institutions in Romania of the status of PhD supervisor obtained in accredited university institutions abroad; the Charter of the “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iaşi; the institutional regulations for the organization and conduct of doctoral university study programs at IOSUD - “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iaşi. It applies to citizens from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation. Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200 of 2004 and art. 296 of Law no. 1 of 2011 apply. The exercise of the rights conferred by the status of PhD supervisor or habilitation is carried out according to the legal regulations in force.

The decision to recognize or not recognize the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation may be appealed within 3 days from notification, by submitting a motivated request to the University Registry. Appeals are resolved within 5 days by the Appeals Resolution Committee, consisting of 5 members appointed by the Rector's decision. The response to the appeal is communicated directly to the applicant. The final decision may subsequently be challenged in court.
