This methodology establishes the way in which the recognition is carried out, within Emanuel University of Oradea, of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad.

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of European Union member states, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries, who have obtained a doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad in accredited higher education institutions in European Union member states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the “List of prestigious universities from other states,” approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

Note: The doctoral diploma subject to recognition must be authenticated with the Hague Apostille for states that are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, and for other states the diploma must be superlegalized or accompanied by the certificate of authenticity issued by the competent authorities from the country of origin. Exemption from apostille or superlegalization is allowed under the law, an international treaty to which Romania is a party, or on the basis of reciprocity.
