Regulation

The procedure establishes the manner in which the automatic recognition of the quality of PhD supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad is carried out within Ioan Slavici University of Timișoara.

Application

The provisions apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries who have obtained the status of PhD supervisor in accredited higher education institutions in Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the "List of prestigious universities from other countries", approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

The profession of doctoral supervisor is found at position no. A.8 in Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania with subsequent amendments and completions.*

The decision of recognition or non-recognition can be challenged by appeal within 30 days from the date of postal confirmation of receipt of the decision. Subsequently, the final decision of the University can be challenged in court.
