Establishes the method of automatic recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation, obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad.

The procedure aims to implement at the internal level the Order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research no. 5.921 of December 6, 2016, as well as to establish SNSPA's responsibilities regarding the obligations it has according to legal provisions, in a unitary, transparent, and legal context, in close correlation with the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, as subsequently amended and supplemented.

Simple copy conforming to the original of the doctoral diploma (a diploma that is not issued in Romanian must also be presented in a certified translation.)*

Simple certified copy according to the original of the doctoral diploma, if the degree was obtained in Romania or at one of the accredited higher education institutions listed in the List of Prestigious Universities from Other Countries, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research and periodically updated, or in the case of a degree obtained at other accredited higher education institutions abroad, the recognition certificate issued by CNRED. Diplomas not issued in Romanian must also be submitted with a certified translation.*

Appeal routes

The applicant has the right to appeal the decision of the internal specialist evaluation committee within 10 calendar days from receipt of the notification. The appeal submitted by the applicant will be analyzed and resolved by the Appeals Committee within IOSUD-SNSPA within no more than 30 calendar days from the date of registration at the university. The committee’s decision regarding the appeal is final at the SNSPA level and will be communicated to the applicant using the contact details provided.
