In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives, and Medical Assistants from Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the recognition, for professional purposes, of Romanian qualification titles as general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in the other EU Member States.

The activities of attesting the Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in the other EU Member States consist of preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as attestation documents, used by the authorities of the other EU Member States, states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 7 September 2005 concerning the recognition of professional qualifications, as subsequently amended and supplemented.Where applicable, the attestation documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online requests for the issuance of the documents necessary for the recognition, for professional purposes, of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are sent via PCUe to the county/Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR, where the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired member status in the OAMGMAMR, the request is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch within whose territorial jurisdiction they reside.

If the applicant does not attach all the required documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days from notification, the applicant is obliged to complete the file with all the requested documents. If the applicant does not comply with the deadline for completion, upon its expiry, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the level of the OAMGMAMR National specialized structure, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be sent online to the applicants through PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where they submitted the electronic file.
