In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants of Romania, as a competent authority, draws up and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the professional recognition of Romanian qualification titles as general nurse, midwife and medical assistant, in the other EU Member States.

The activities of attesting Romanian qualification titles as general nurse, midwife and medical assistant, in the other EU Member States, consist of drawing up and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as attestation documents, used by the authorities of the other EU member states, the states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, with subsequent amendments and completions.Where appropriate, the attestation documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online requests for issuing documents necessary for the professional recognition of the mentioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are submitted via PCUe to the county/Bucharest branch of OAMGMAMR, where the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired the status of an OAMGMAMR member, the request is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the required documents or it is found that the file is incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days from the notification, the applicant is obliged to complete the file with all required documents. If the applicant does not comply with the completion deadline, upon its expiration, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be drawn up at the level of the specialized structure of OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be sent online to the applicants through PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where the electronic file was submitted.
