In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants of Romania, as the competent authority, prepares and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of Romanian qualifications of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant, in other EU Member States.

The activities of certifying Romanian qualifications of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant, in other EU Member States consist in preparing and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as certification documents, used by the authorities of the other EU Member States, the states belonging to the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as amended and supplemented.As the case may be, the certification documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online requests for the issuance of the documents necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the aforementioned Romanian qualifications, accompanied by the relevant documents, are sent through PCUe to the county/Bucharest branch of OAMGMAMR where the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT acquired membership of OAMGMAMR, the request is submitted online through PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all the required documents or if the file is found to be incomplete, the applicant will be notified via the PCUe system. Within 15 days from notification, the applicant is required to complete the file with all the requested documents. If the applicant does not respect the completion deadline, upon its expiry, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the level of the OAMGMAMR National specialty structure and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be sent online to applicants through PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where the electronic file was submitted.
