Individuals may request proof regarding civil status, evidence which includes, as appropriate, statements referring to the notes existing on the margin of the birth certificate. The documents are issued, upon request, to the holders, legal representatives, or persons empowered with a special power of attorney or lawyer's authorization, according to the model provided in Annex no. 18; the certificate is issued in physical or electronic format, signed by the issuer, stamped with the S.I.I.E.A.S.C. seal, and a verification code is generated to confirm its authenticity.
