At the written request of natural or legal persons, the National Archives issues certificates, copies, extracts, and certificates from the documents they hold regarding the certification of property rights, employment seniority for the purpose of calculating and/or recalculating pensions, extracts regarding civil status documents, situations regarding refugees from the Cadrilater, Northern Transylvania, deportations to Transnistria, etc. The request can also be sent by e-mail or through the electronic service portal. To obtain the documents held by the National Archives, the application must include the following information: - name, surname, and address of the petitioner, civil status data, possibly other names previously used; - the subject of the request; - data regarding the identification of the requested document (issuing institution, person in whose name the document was issued, date of issue, locality, possibly the document number, etc.); - the purpose for which the document is requested; - the capacity in which the document is requested (descendant or legal representative) if the applicant is not the holder of the respective document. The capacity will be proven by documents (civil status documents, inheritance certificate, property deed) or by a declaration on one's own responsibility.
