The procedure refers to the presentation of the activities necessary for the recruitment, evaluation, and training of professional foster carers, as well as the certification and employment of professional foster carers in the Maternal Assistance Services Center. The professional foster carer is the natural person, certified under the conditions of Ordinance no. 27/2004, who, through their activity carried out at their own home, ensures the upbringing, care, and education of the child during the period when the special protection measure of placement, emergency placement for the child temporarily or permanently separated from their parents is applied, or, as the case may be, during the respite period of another foster carer.
