Operational procedure regarding the recruitment, evaluation, training, certification, employment, annual evaluation and recertification of professional foster carers within the SMCAF*
The professional maternal assistant is the individual, certified under the conditions of Government Decision no. 679/2003, who ensures through the activity carried out at their own home the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children received in foster care.
The person who wishes to become a professional maternal assistant will submit a request for capacity evaluation to DGASPC Brasov. The request will obligatorily mention the number of children for whom the applicant considers they can simultaneously provide optimal care conditions, their age group and gender, the availability to care for children with disabilities, HIV-infected, or suffering from AIDS.
The request will include the applicant's Curriculum Vitae as well as the reasons for wanting to become a professional maternal assistant.
