Vaslui Pharmacists’ College*

In order to proceed with issuing a duplicate of the Certificate of Membership of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation to the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Vaslui, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania and the documents listed below.

Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we wish to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009, Part I, as well as the Application Rules published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009, Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist – for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

This document is also necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below, we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;

- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will transmit the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them over to applicants upon signature of receipt.

The issuance fee for the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, must be paid into the account of the Vaslui College of Pharmacists, RO93BRDE380SV08609183800 or at the College's headquarters based on a receipt.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the Vaslui College of Pharmacists a file that will include the documents attached below.

The suspension of membership takes place when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Vaslui College of Pharmacists a request through which they ask for the suspension of their membership. At the moment this suspension is requested, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must meet the condition of continuous professional training with a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.

The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.

The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date the dues owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the pharmacist register (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If at the level of the college from which the pharmacist is transferring a complaint has been registered against them or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.

Resumption of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Vaslui College of Pharmacists, requesting the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.

In support of the request, the documents listed below are attached.

The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon making an express request to this effect, meet the following conditions: they hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee of 208 lei for persons who registered within 1 YEAR of graduation and 235 lei for all other persons, and have submitted all the necessary documentation at the office of the territorial college.
