Social assistance is granted monthly, to supplement the net monthly income of the family or single person, in order to ensure the guaranteed minimum income.

Granting the family support allowance aims to supplement the incomes of families in order to ensure better conditions for raising and educating children, as well as to encourage school-age children in the care of low-income families to attend a form of education, organized according to the law, as stipulated in art.1, para.(2) of Law no. 277/2010 regarding the family support allowance, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions.

Granting aid to cover part of the expenses related to heating the home during the cold season.

If the applicant is dissatisfied with the way the application was resolved, the provisions of Article 35 of GEO no. 70/2011 regarding social protection measures during the cold season shall apply: "The decisions of the mayor regarding the granting, rejection, modification, or termination of the heating aid may be challenged according to the provisions of the Administrative Litigation Law no. 554/2004, with subsequent amendments and completions."
