In accordance with Law 278/2015, the Order of General Nurses, Midwives, and Medical Assistants of Romania, as the competent authority, draws up and issues the documents (certificates, etc.) necessary for the recognition for professional purposes of the Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in other EU Member States.

The activities for the attestation of Romanian qualification titles of general nurse, midwife, and medical assistant in other EU Member States consist of drawing up and issuing documents, hereinafter referred to as attestation documents, used by the authorities of other EU Member States, states belonging to the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation for the professional recognition of these titles according to the procedures provided by Directive 2005/36/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications, as amended and supplemented. As the case may be, attestation documents are certificates or recommendations.

Online applications for the issuance of documents required for the professional recognition of the aforementioned Romanian titles, accompanied by the corresponding documents, are submitted via PCUe to the county/Bucharest Municipality branch of OAMGMAMR, to which the applicant is a member. If the applicant has NOT obtained the status of OAMGMAMR member, the application is submitted online via PCUe to the OAMGMAMR branch in whose territorial area the applicant resides.

If the applicant does not attach all required documents or the file is found to be incomplete, the applicant will be notified through the PCUe system. Within 15 days of notification, the applicant is obliged to complete the file with all requested documents. If the applicant does not meet the completion deadline, at its expiry, the file will be automatically closed by the PCUe system.

The recognition documents (certificates/recommendations) will be prepared at the specialized structure level of the OAMGMAMR National, and within 90 days from the registration of the complete electronic file, will be sent online to the applicants through PCUe by the county branch of OAMGMAMR where they submitted the electronic file.
