The professional maternal assistant is the natural person, certified according to the law, who, through the activity carried out at their home, ensures the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children placed in their care. Persons residing in the territorial area of Giurgiu county, interested in becoming a maternal assistant, submit to the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Giurgiu a request for the evaluation of their capacity, accompanied by the documents mentioned below. The certificate is issued by the Child Protection Commission Giurgiu and is valid for 3 years.
