Request for the Current Professional Certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as the replacement of the chief pharmacist - for those who will assume the position of chief), should address the county colleges for obtaining the Current Professional Certificate.
This document is also required for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the borders of the country.
The methodology for drawing up and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from the receipt of the request for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard request for drawing up and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receipt of the request, C.F.R. will draw up the certificate and will send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records – with the identifying data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county – and will hand them to applicants under a signature of receipt.
The issuing fee for the Current Professional Certificate, amounting to 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO42BTRL02501205137047XX in accordance with Decision no. 1/21.11.2024 of the CFR.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file that will include the documents attached below.
*Resumption of membership*
Procedure regarding enrollment in the College of Pharmacists of Romania - College of Pharmacists of Maramures County*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, by making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification title in pharmacy, are not found in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained the bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is paid into the territorial college account RO42BTRL02501205137047XX )
*Suspension of membership*
The suspension of membership is done when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Maramures College of Pharmacists, a request asking for the suspension of membership. At the time of requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must fulfill the condition of continuous professional education with a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period. In support of the requests, the documents listed below are attached. The pharmacist is obliged, within 30 days from the resumption of activity, to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania.
