Duplicate member certificate*
In order to proceed with the issuance of a duplicate Member Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the College of Pharmacists Bucharest, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the documents listed below.
*Request for the Current Professional Certificate*
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmacy unit (in cases of new pharmacy units establishment, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is required for those pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for drawing up and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, and revised by Decision no. 1 from 15.09.2023.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum period of 3 days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard form request for drawing up and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum period of 10 days from receiving the request, the C.F.R. will draw up the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare and transfer it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will draw up a Registry – with the identification data of Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them over to applicants with a receipt signature.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file containing the documents attached below.
Suspension of membership status*
The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, specifically the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, a request through which they ask for the suspension of membership status. At the moment when requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the dues up to the end of the year.
Pharmacist transfer request*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is required to pay up to date the dues owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed, with signature, to the applicant. In the register of pharmacists (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm), the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be mentioned. If, at the college from which the pharmacist is transferring, a complaint has been filed against them or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.
*Registration in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, upon express request, meet the following conditions: they hold an official pharmacy qualification, are not under any cases of dishonor or incompatibility stipulated by law, are medically fit to practice as a pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained their bachelor's degree within the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee (the fee is to be paid into the account of the territorial college RO35UGBI0000252015519RON in the amount of 10% of the minimum wage at the time of registration, according to CFR Decision no.2 of 15.06.2009). https://www.colegfarmtl.ro/
Resumption of membership*
Resumption of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits at the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, requesting the resumption of membership starting from a specific date.
