General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Alba*

The foster carer is a natural person, certified under the law, employed by DGASPC Alba, who cares for at their own home the child/children from the protection system, whom they receive with a protection measure-placement. Persons with legal and actual residence in Alba County, interested in becoming foster carers, submit to the headquarters of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Alba, located in Alba Iulia, Bld. 1 Decembrie 1918, no. 68, an evaluation request and the documents mentioned below. The request will obligatorily state the number of children for whom the applicant considers they can simultaneously provide optimal care conditions, their age group and gender, availability to care for children with disabilities, HIV-infected or suffering from AIDS. The request will include the applicant’s Curriculum Vitae as well as the reasons why they wish to become a professional foster carer. The professional foster carer certificate is issued by the Alba Child Protection Commission and is valid for 3 years. Employment of the foster carer, i.e., signing the employment contract, takes place from the moment they receive for protection the child/children in difficulty.
