Registration in the College of Pharmacists of Romania*
The membership certificate is granted to pharmacists who, making an express request in this regard, meet the following conditions: hold an official qualification title in pharmacy, are not found in any of the cases of unworthiness or incompatibility provided by law, are medically fit to practice the profession of pharmacist, have not interrupted the practice of the profession for more than 5 years or have obtained a bachelor's degree in the last 5 years, have paid the registration fee which is 10% of the minimum wage.
Request for the Current Professional Certificate*
Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
Additionally, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.
The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 dated 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the Romanian College of Pharmacists and issued by the territorial college with which the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard request form to the Romanian College of Pharmacists for preparing and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, C.F.R. will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the Romanian College of Pharmacists, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Registry of records – with identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in the respective county – and will hand them over to applicants with receipt signature.
The issuance fee for the Current Professional Certificate is 150 lei.
*Duplicate member certificate*
In order to issue a duplicate of the Membership Certificate of the College of Pharmacists of Romania, the applicant must submit the complete documentation at the headquarters of the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, in accordance with the provisions of Decision no. 4/2004 of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania and the documents listed below.

Pharmacist transfer*
The transfer note is issued by the college where the pharmacist is registered, based on a request. Before issuing the transfer note, the requesting pharmacist is obliged to pay up to date any dues owed to the college from which they wish to leave. The transfer note will be handed to the applicant, under signature. In the pharmacist registry (https://portal.tm-c.eu/LstFarma/ColegFarm) the college to which the pharmacist has transferred will be noted. If at the level of the college from which the pharmacist is transferring a complaint has been registered against them or a disciplinary investigation has been initiated, the complaint or the disciplinary file will be forwarded to the college to which the pharmacist is transferring.
*Resumption of membership*
Resumption of membership is done based on an application, which the applicant, the pharmacist, submits to the headquarters of the Territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, through which they request the resumption of membership starting from a certain date.
*Suspension of membership*
Membership suspension occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a certain period of time and submits to the headquarters of the territorial College, namely the Bucharest College of Pharmacists, a request for the suspension of their membership. When requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee up to the end of the year and must fulfill the condition of continuous professional training with a number of 40 CPD hours for the respective period.

The pharmacist undertakes to inform the College of Pharmacists of Romania within 30 days of resuming activity.
