Natural or legal persons who intend to carry out import, export or re-export activities with individuals belonging to the species of wild flora and fauna listed in the annexes to Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, as subsequently amended and supplemented, regarding the protection of wild fauna and flora species by regulating trade in them, hereinafter referred to as applicants, are obliged to request the central public authority for environmental protection to issue the import/export permit or re-export certificate or the certificate required for the movement of live specimens of animal species included in Annex A to Regulation (EC) No. 338/97, as subsequently amended, or for exceptions from the prohibition of commercial activities according to art. 8 of the same regulation, by completing the forms established by European Community legislation concerning the protection of endangered species.
