Persons classified as having a severe disability with a personal assistant are entitled to either have the employment of a personal assistant ensured and paid by the local public authorities or to receive a monthly allowance if they waive the employment of a personal assistant; the allowance is equivalent to the net salary of a junior social worker with secondary education in budgetary units, other than those with beds.
The social benefits and vulnerable persons service is obliged to take the necessary measures to ensure the granting of the allowance equivalent to the net salary of a junior social worker with secondary education in budgetary units, other than those with beds, to all persons in need, classified as having a severe disability with a personal assistant, without any discrimination.
To benefit from the monthly allowance, the applicant must have residence or domicile in the territory of Constanța municipality.
