The Ministry of Education has been running the national social protection program "Bani de liceu" for over 12 years, through which it provides financial support for students in high schools and schools of arts and trades.

For students who wish to obtain this financial support, we have launched the Bani de liceu portal, which, together with the discussion forum dedicated to this national program, represents an effective means of information.

The beneficiaries are students who are in the care of families whose monthly gross income per family member, earned in the last 3 months prior to submitting the application, is a maximum of 500 lei, as well as students who benefit from a protection measure or are under guardianship or curatorship, provided the income condition specified above is met.

The documents shall be submitted in copy, provided that when submitting the application, the applicant also presents the original documents.

IMPORTANT!

With the adoption of Government Decision 712/2018 (available as an attachment), starting with the 2018-2019 school year, each beneficiary will receive monthly, throughout the duration of the courses, if all the legal conditions are met, the amount of 250 lei/month.

Besides indexing this amount (from 180 lei/month), the value of the maximum scholarship amount has also been increased from 150 lei to 500 lei/family member, given the necessity to correlate the granting threshold with the current economic situation.
