The national program "High School Money"*

Details

The Ministry of Education has been running for over 12 years the national social protection program "High School Money," through which it provides financial support to students from high schools and schools of arts and trades.

For students who wish to obtain this financial support, we have launched the High School Money portal, which, together with the discussion forum dedicated to this national program, represents an efficient means of information.

Beneficiaries are students who are supported by families whose gross monthly income per family member, earned in the last three months prior to submitting the file, is a maximum of 500 lei, as well as students who benefit from a protection measure or are under guardianship or trusteeship, if the income condition mentioned above is met.

The documents shall be submitted as copies, provided that, upon submission of the application, the applicant also presents the original documents.

IMPORTANT!

By adopting Government Decision 712/2018 (available attached), starting with the 2018-2019 school year, each beneficiary will receive monthly, for the entire duration of the courses, if all the legal conditions provided are met, the amount of 250 lei/month.
In addition to the indexation of this amount (from 180 lei/month), the value of the maximum limit for granting the scholarship has also been increased from 150 lei to 500 lei/ family member, given the need to correlate the granting limit of support with the current economic situation.

Supporting documents for: orphan, descendant of revolution heroes, tuberculosis patient and registered with the school dispensary, suffering from: diabetes, a malignant disease, severe malabsorption syndrome, chronic renal failure, bronchial asthma, epilepsy, congenital heart disease, chronic hepatitis, glaucoma, severe myopia, immunological diseases, infection with the HIV virus or suffering from AIDS, suffering from juvenile polyarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis or articular rheumatism, locomotor disability. The certification of the disease is done by the doctor authorized to approve the granting of scholarships, according to the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 150/2002*) on the organization and functioning of the social health insurance system, with subsequent amendments and completions, only after conducting social investigations to analyze the material situation of the family;*
