The national program "Money for High School"*

Details

The Ministry of Education has been running for over 12 years the national social protection program "High School Money", which provides financial support for students in high schools and art and vocational schools.

For students who want to receive this financial support, we have launched the High School Money portal, which, together with the discussion forum dedicated to this national program, represents an efficient means of information.

Beneficiaries are students who are supported by families whose gross monthly income per family member, earned in the last 3 months prior to submitting the application, is a maximum of 500 lei, as well as students who benefit from a protection measure or are under guardianship or trusteeship, provided the above-mentioned income condition is met.

The documents will be submitted in copy, provided that, upon submission of the application, the applicant also presents the original documents.

IMPORTANT!

By adopting Government Decision 712/2018 (attached), starting with the 2018-2019 school year, each beneficiary will receive monthly, throughout the duration of the courses, provided all the stipulated legal conditions are met, the amount of 250 lei/month.
In addition to the indexation of this amount (from 180 lei/month), the value of the maximum threshold for granting the scholarship has also been increased from 150 lei to 500 lei/family member, given the need to correlate the threshold for granting support with the current economic situation.

Supporting documents for: orphan, descendant of heroes of the revolution, suffers from TB and is registered with the school dispensary, suffers from: diabetes, a malignant disease, severe malabsorption syndrome, chronic renal failure, bronchial asthma, epilepsy, congenital heart disease, chronic hepatitis, glaucoma, severe myopia, immunological diseases, is infected with the HIV virus or has AIDS, suffers from juvenile polyarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis or articular rheumatism, locomotor disability. Certification of the disease is carried out by the physician authorized to approve the granting of scholarships, according to the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 150/2002*) regarding the organization and functioning of the health social insurance system, with subsequent amendments and completions, only after social investigations are conducted to analyze the material situation of the family;*
