This procedure is addressed only to members of the College of Physiotherapists from Romania (CFZRO) or persons who previously held this status.

The certificate of professional status is the document that includes the relevant personal data regarding the honorability and professional morality with which the physiotherapist practices their profession, and it is issued for the purpose of guaranteeing the quality of services provided as well as guaranteeing the safety of patients in relation to them.

According to art. 5 letter t) of the Statute of the College of Physiotherapists from Romania approved by the Order of the Minister of Health no. 4086/2024, CFZRO, as the competent authority, certifies the honorability and professional morality of its members and issues, upon request, the current certificate of professional status for its members.

FEES

– 200 RON, representing the issuance fee for the current certificate of professional status within a maximum of 30 days

– 400 RON, representing the issuance fee for the current certificate of professional status in urgent regime

– 600 RON, representing the issuance fee for the current certificate of professional status and the certificate of conformity of studies, if the files are submitted simultaneously, in urgent regime

The fees are paid only into the CFZRO account: RO58BRDE410SV97037454100, opened at BRD-Groupe Societe Generale – Carrefour Orhideea Bucharest Branch, by bank transfer or payment order.

In the payment details, the name of the applicant and the reason for the payment must be mentioned (Ex: Popescu Ionuț Current certificate of professional status).

Entitled persons

Only registered members of CFZRO and persons who have held member status in the past.

Regulated professions

The profession of physiotherapist is regulated in Romania by Law no. 229/2016. It is not found in the list of regulated professions from Law no. 200/2004.*

The presentation of a certificate of authenticity is not required in the case of certificates of passing the bachelor's exam that are valid until the issuance of the bachelor's diploma, but not more than 12 months from the date of their issuance.*

Proof of exercising or not exercising the profession, as applicable: – In the situation where the Applicant has a workplace, exercises the profession based on a volunteer contract, or is the holder of an independent organizational form, original documents showing the Official Name of the employer where the activity is carried out at the date of the request or the independent organizational form under which the applicant carries out their activity at the date of the application, specifying the contact details (address, phone, e-mail, CIF/CUI, as applicable), the Date and Position of Employment or, as applicable, the status of holder of the independent organizational form, Leaves for temporary incapacity for work, child care leaves, or unpaid leaves which the holder benefits from at the date of the request – In the situation where the Applicant does not have a workplace, does not exercise the profession, and is not the holder of an independent organizational form, Self-declaration that they do not exercise the Physiotherapist profession in Romania at the date of the request.*
