Recognition of the professional qualification of instructor on the shooting range*

According to art. 30 para. (7)-(9) and art. 33 para. (4) of the Methodological Norms for the implementation of Law no. 295/2004 on the regime of weapons and ammunition, approved by Government Decision no. 11/2018, citizens of the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation who wish to practice in Romania the profession of shooting range instructor, independently or as employees, may apply for recognition of their professional qualification.

The recognition of the professional qualification is carried out under the conditions of Law no. 200/2004 on the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, by presenting documents attesting to studies and professional qualification obtained in the state of origin or provenance. The competent national authority for the recognition of professional qualifications and administrative cooperation in this matter is the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, through the Weapons, Explosives and Dangerous Substances Directorate.

The persons who benefit from the recognition of professional qualifications must have the necessary Romanian language knowledge to practice as a shooting range instructor in Romania, under the conditions provided by the legislation regarding the recognition of professional qualifications.

The application, together with the necessary documents, is sent exclusively in electronic format, via the ROePAS platform.

Entitled persons

Citizens of EU member states, of the European Economic Area, or of the Swiss Confederation, who wish to exercise in Romania, independently or as employees, the profession of shooting range instructor.

Regulated professions

The profession of instructor in the shooting range is found at position no. 138 in Annex no. 2 (List of regulated professions in Romania) to Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania*
