This procedure sets out the method for recognizing the title of specialist veterinary doctor, in order to ensure a regulated framework for verifying the documents submitted by veterinary doctors holding such an official title and for issuing the decision recognizing this title.
The College of Veterinary Doctors, as the competent authority for the veterinary profession, recognizes the title of specialist veterinary doctor obtained after graduating from a European College in the relevant field.

If the applicant is dissatisfied with the result of the verification, they may contest it within 30 days of receiving the communication. To resolve the appeals, the Executive Bureau of the National Council of the College of Veterinary Doctors will appoint a committee consisting of three members which will analyze the issues raised in the appeal and will communicate a response to the applicant within a maximum of 15 days from registration. If the applicant is also dissatisfied with the response to the appeal, they may address the competent court.
