Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 with subsequent amendments and completions, as well as its Implementation Norms, approved by OMS no.444/2019, with subsequent amendments and completions, the current professional certificate is obtained at the pharmacist's request, being necessary to hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit or for practicing the profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for drawing up and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the National Council Decision no. 1/2007, amended and supplemented by Decisions no. 2/2019 and no.1/15.09.2023.

To obtain the current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist must submit or send electronically to the territorial college to which he is a member the standard application, as well as the documents below, if they have not already been submitted and registered with the territorial college to which he is a member.

The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issue.

Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for drawing up and issuing the document; within a maximum of 10 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will draw up the certificate and send it to the territorial college through the dedicated electronic platform.

The territorial college will draw up a Registry of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county.

The delivery of the current professional certificate will be made to applicants electronically (e-mail with receipt confirmation) or at the headquarters, with receipt signature.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial College RO05 BRDE 120S V093 4312 1200

All documents will be signed and will bear the mention Certified true copy of the original.
