The suspension of membership status occurs when the applicant, the pharmacist, for certain reasons wishes to interrupt their activity for a specific period of time and submits a request to the territorial College headquarters, asking for the suspension of membership status. When requesting this suspension, the pharmacist must have paid the membership fee until the end of the year and must meet the condition of continuous professional training with a number of 40 EFC hours for the respective period.
The pharmacist is obliged, within 30 days from resuming activity, to inform the Romanian College of Pharmacists.
