Based on the ANSVSA Order no. 16/2010, with subsequent amendments and completions, the control points are authorized by the county sanitary-veterinary and food safety directorates, respectively of the municipality of Bucharest.
For obtaining the veterinary sanitary authorization for the control point, the economic operator submits the request to the county sanitary-veterinary and food safety directorate, respectively of the municipality of Bucharest, if the control point previously meets all the requirements provided in annex no.1 to Council Regulation (EC) no. 1255/97 on the community criteria provided for waiting points and for places of itinerary modification provided in the annex to Directive 91/628/EEC, with subsequent amendments. When the authorization file is complete, the applicant will be informed about the visit of the Evaluation Commission designated by DSVSA to verify the general and specific operating conditions, as well as to complete the evaluation report based on which the veterinary sanitary authorization is issued, if the veterinary sanitary requirements are met. The county sanitary-veterinary and food safety directorate, respectively of the municipality of Bucharest, issues the veterinary sanitary authorization for the operation of the control point, which can be limited to a certain species or for several categories of animals or health statuses. Veterinary sanitary authorizations for control points have a unique code, granted by the county sanitary-veterinary and food safety directorates, respectively of the municipality of Bucharest. The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority submits the list of authorized control points to the European Commission.
