This methodology establishes the manner in which automatic recognition is carried out, within the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, of the quality of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad. The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries, who have obtained the quality of doctoral supervisor in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states," approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically.

A.8 in Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*

Appeal routes

The decision of recognition or non-recognition can be challenged by appeal within 2 days from the announcement of the solution or the recognition certificate. The appeal will be analyzed by an Appeals Committee appointed by the Rector of UAD in Cluj-Napoca. The Appeals Committee will issue a response within 15 days from receiving the appeal. If the applicant is not satisfied with the Committee's solution, they can address the competent court, the Cluj Tribunal, Mixed Administrative and Fiscal Litigation Section, within the legal term of 30 days.
